The Czech Roller Derby Team is opening recruitment for new members for the upcoming ERDC. We are opening applications for all key positions – skaters, officials and volunteers.

From leagues to nations
Unlike many past European tournaments, traditionally built around individual teams, the ERDC is being developed as a continental competition structure specifically for National Teams and Borderless Teams.
Eligibility is based on the RDNC’s (Roller Derby Nations Committee) “Definition of a Nation.” As of late 2025, there are 29 potentially eligible teams, with organisers planning a bracket designed to keep matchups competitive and the tournament intense from start to finish.
Hosts making it happen: Lega Italiana Roller Derby (LIRD)
With the dates locked in, the real work begins and the ERDC Committee has selected Lega Italiana Roller Derby (LIRD) to host the event on Italy’s coast.
LIRD are the primary governing body for Roller Derby in Italy, operating under the Federazione Italiana Sport Rotellistici (FISR). They are known for being deeply committed, well organised, and community-driven.
Most importantly, LIRD actively champions and embodies the values the ERDC demands – addressing important community topics directly, including trans inclusion in sports, fighting fatphobia, and building a safe, welcoming space for all skaters and participants.
